"If you don't do it this year, you'll be one year older when you do." 🚀
I've always lived by Warren Miller's motto, and it's led me on an incredible journey. From challenging adventures to international roles, my career has been anything but ordinary. And now, I find myself at Kennedy Space Center, working in the awe-inspiring space industry—an opportunity I could have never imagined during my college years.
As a Software/Controls Engineer, I thrive on learning something new every single day. Whether it's tackling complex equipment debugging or embracing fresh perspectives from my talented teammates, no two days are alike in my world.
My career has spanned diverse projects, including distributed control systems for multi-vehicle ride systems, show control systems, animated figures, and special effects. I've delved into control system design, conducted failure/hazard analysis, troubleshooted PLCs, and executed system testing and integration. In the theme park industry, I had the privilege of bringing Super Nintendo World to life, creating unforgettable experiences for Nintendo enthusiasts spanning multiple generations.
More recently, I've taken a leap into the exciting world of aerospace, and I'm beyond thrilled to be living the dream on the Space Coast. Now, I'm proudly part of the brilliant team at United Launch Alliance (ULA), as a software engineer. Ironically, back in college, I declared that I'd never be a programmer. Yet, here I am, proving that life has its own incredible twists and turns.
Outside of work you can catch me hitting the slopes, cheering for PSU football, or diving headfirst into the chaos of a DIY home renovation project. Life is an adventure, and I'm here to embrace it.
On a personal note, I'm always happy to help TPEG students if they ever need anything. Don't hesitate to reach out—I'm here to support and inspire the next generation of trailblazers. Feel free to ask me about my journey, from theme parks to international projects and now, the thrilling world of aerospace. I've been around the block and am always willing to share my experiences (within the bounds of my NDA contracts, of course! 😄).
