IAAPA Expo 2025Penn State TPEG sent a group of five students to attend IAAPA Expo 2025 in Orlando, FL. The members shown left to right are Nick Rizzo, Allie Bates, Nathen Chen, Lily Chancey, and John Walters. These students had the opportunity to explore the expo floor, attend education sessions, and connect with alumni and professionals within the themed entertainment industry.
TMU Thrill Design Competition 2025This past week, several of our members traveled to Orlando, FL for the Toronto Metropolitan University Thrill Design Competition sponsored by Universal Creative! From left to right, Audrey Meyers, Sarah Balega, Brandon Leader, and Owen McGroary spent three days participating in design challenges and presenting their designs to professionals within the industry. Overall, this was a fantastic learning experience for our members!
ASTM F24 Conference in Scottsdale, ArizonaLast week, three of our members had the privilege of attending the ASTM International F24 Conference on Amusement Rides and Devices in Scottsdale, Arizona! From left to right, these members are James Erter III, Sarah Balega, and Allie Bates. This opportunity allowed them to learn the specifications of set standards within the industry. They also connected with professionals across the industry, as well as current students and alumni!
THON 2025TPEG Benefitting THON had two dancers in THON 2025, Claire Silva and Ashton Crump. Our members supported our dancers on the floor and in the stands all weekend long. Overall, THON 2025 raised $17.7 Million and TPEG set a new fundraising record of $14,976.61! Thank you to our TPEG Benefitting THON team of Claire Silva, Aniela Lee, Kristen Stammer, and Nathan Chen for a great year!
ASTM F24 Committee Meeting in Jacksonville, FLPenn State TPEG sent our team (pictured to the left) to the Spring ASTM F24 Committee Meeting in Jacksonville, Florida. The members pictured left to right are Owen McGroary, Jimmy Ertter III, Jon Zang, and Sarah Balega. Over the course of the conference they had the opportunity to learn about specifications within the industry, sit in on professional meetings, connect with fellow students, and check out all what Jacksonville has to offer.
